Hawaii Support Network operates a once-a-month (last Thursday of the month) food pantry with the generous facility support from Serenity Cafe. On-call basis (1x every 3mo.) emergency food box based on availability. This community service is made available through collaboration with HISN, HI Island Food Bank and Serenity Cafe.
Hawaii Support Network engages support, awareness & prevention events in the community. Including, definitely not limited to, Suicide/Mental Health, Substance Abuse/Recovery, Native/Cultural events, Adopt-a-Highway, court status community service hours organization, etc.
The controversial building of the TMT atop Mauna Kea has taken to the ‘aina. Peoples from all around the world are actively protesting or supporting those on the front lines protecting the sacred mountain from desecration. HISN is providing support to the front lines and accepting donations to be delivered to those holding the lines.
HISN , donors, and volunteers sprung into action to support our local community ohana affected by the 2018 Puna Lava Flow Disaster. Serenity Cafe provided free hot coffee and meals daily. Generous donors such as Pahoa Museum, Target, Wal-Mart, BedMart, Pahoa Auto Parts, Convoy for Hope.... provided funding for temp. housing, hygiene centers, camping gear, household items, particulate masks, etc. during and after the 2018 Puna lava flow disaster.
